I am Frederica Patton. I am the secretary of JA-VIZ-TA. After obtaining my Master's degree in "Development Studies: Crisis, Emergency and Development (Sorbonne, Paris1), I worked in the field of immigration and gender equality, in Europe. Since 2014, I started supporting the JA-VIZ-TA association by participating in the Epices'centre project.

 

That same year, I had the chance to spend two months in India, and participate in an action research project built around the concept of active democracy, methodology promoted by V.C.D.M. During my stay, I had the opportunity to listen to the powerful  stories of V.C.D.M facilitators, and to understand, how they have challenged unfair-deeply entrenched, social norms in their villages.
